Mark Bennett founded Art of Fitness in 1999
Mark currently is a 5th Dan in Ju-Jitsu but has studied many other styles of martial arts that compliment ju-jitsu such as Kali, Silat, Bagua, tai chi, kung Fu, Filipino martial arts to name a few.
Ju-Jitsu is the original mixed martial art. It teaches techniques that involve all aspects of combat, which include sparring, throwing and grappling.
During 2008 a small team from Art of Fitness took on their first cage fight. This has lead on to a full fight team with fighters going on to fight for titles, a new timetable with specific classes aimed at training for the MMA cage fights, a refurbished Dojo and padded area for cage techniques and the re branding of the club to AOF MMA.
